This transaction enhances its market presence in Northern Virginia and Maryland, integrates complementary franchises with shared community-focused approaches, and positions the combined entity for accelerated growth in fee-based services and client acquisition. Additionally, in June 2025, the company sold approximately $2 billion of performing commercial real estate loans to Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies to optimize its balance sheet amid ongoing portfolio management efforts.
